Enjoyable Podcast: I think you should call yourselves,
“3 Ps in a Pod - cast”
If you mention darts you have to mention the Crafty Cockney, it’s the law, actuallt maybe you did!
Having a monarch may be wrong in a country that strives for equality and liberty: however the Queen has dedicated her life to serving the country and has been somewhat of a comfortable constant. Royals do bring in tourist and help cement buisness relationships. Surely the country would not be as rich and interesting without then? Are not the influx of camp TV presenters, reality TV shows and shite pop bands a greater threat to our collective sanity? etc
Hey Henry. I dig it…3 Ps in a Pod-cast. If only we were all called Pete or something. Maybe we should change our names..
I say again, why not involve the royals in some sort of reality TV concept. That may make them acceptable to those that watch such things, while still keeping the tourism aspect there for those of us that don’t watch. Because I, for one, consider the monarchy more tourism than politics and state-leadership. I blame Alex.
Always blame Alex. It’s my new mantra.

Hi Henry, cheers for the comment, and sorry I didn’t see it before…the other lads mentioned it yesterday.
I definitely agree that the obsession with z list nobodies is a serious problem, but I would argue that most of the Royals fit into this category themselves…fodder for the tabloids and little else.
The Queen has dedicated her life to service, but then she didn’t really have much of a choice, and she’s been rather well rewarded by the taxpayer for her trouble. I do agree though that her constant presence, and that she’s had weekly meetings with PMs going back to Churchill, does offer something to our system, and by all accounts she’s got her head screwed on.
Thing is maybe we were lucky with her, and we might not be next time…I’d vote for Elizabeth Windsor, not so sure about her first born and his hooray sprogs though.
Anyway, I’ve probably ranted enough about this, hope you enjoy the next one, I beleive the crafty cockney gets several mentions!
