The Tavistock Podcast #4
February 18th, 2009
Thanks for all the comments and emails, folks. Hopefully we’ve taken aboard some of your suggestions, and ignored the ones we didn’t like…
Anyway, the latest episode of the Tavistock Podcast is online now! Expect a rant from Alex about something that Andrew doesn’t understand, (not that that’s saying much) a book review from naughty schoolboy Jon, and film and music news from all of us. Here it is, for your delectation.
I think this is some of our finest work so far.
I haven’t listened to it yet, but that’s what I think.
Let’s hope I’m right!
A continued streak of goodness… I’m a big fan of the way you give a concerted effort at staying on subject only to veer topically ditchwards at the last possible moment.
You need a proper sound engineer though. Usually you all go quiet halfway through the third bottle of wine, this week you start shouting just after I’d turned the sound up in anticipation. This was not appreciated by either my nerves or my speakers.
A proper sound engineer? A proper sound engineer. A proper - you get the idea.
Surely you’re not going to stand for that, Andy?
I’m biding my time, waiting for a cheque to clear so that i can transfer the money to the hitman i’ve hired.
I do kinda agree though. i tend to forget that yes, i am a proper sound engineer, and focus too much on the talking part.
duly noted.
and watch your back.
@Jon
actually, just realized that the volume-increase at about 18 minutes wasn’t actually part of the recording process. while i was editing i needed some more volume so boosted it, but didn’t realize that it would stay like that on the export. bollocks.
Hahaha! “Proper sound engineer”.
Awesome.
This is the best comments thread ever. I love you dbot!
Cheers for the apology. I know your backgrounds, so was being intentionally cheeky. Regarding the love : Prove it xx
